DESCRIPTION
This British assembled and engraved beauty dates to 1954, the year Selmer introduced the Mark VI. The original lacquer has attained a brilliant gold coloration, and remains over 98 percent of the horn, and the lovely symmetric engraving and Selmer trademark are wonderfully preserved. She recently enjoyed a fresh overhaul by Roberto, using the original metal resonators and custom Pisoni pads made to his own exacting specifications. She exhibits no signs of structural damage despite her long years, and a small mark on the bow does little to mar her timeless beauty. The original neck presents a free-blowing experience, and the horn has developed a wonderfully dark, rich colored voice reminiscent of the Joe Henderson school of sound. The even tone and immediate response exemplify the enduring reputation of the legendary VI.
