Martin Committee II Alto Saxophone
$2000.00
DESCRIPTION
This vintage Martin dates to 1940. Only produced for a three year run, these horns are rare to find in original lacquer. Sometimes called "The Lion and the Crown" because of the art-deco bell engraving, this model possesses a lush, medium-dark voice and a very well-intonated scale throughout. The nickel-keys are quite durable and light to the touch. The uniquely design left thumb rest, movable right thumbhook, and decorative keyguards are all notable points of intrigue for the enthusiast. A player's horn, this instrument has suffered some wear to the keys and lacquer, yet remains a great-sounding vintage American saxophone.
