This beauty from around 1935, belongs to the "Selmer Super Series" or "SSS." They were conceived especially for radio orchestras.
The improvement mainly in the intonation of the instrument.
The "Radio Improved" was made just before the Balanced Action series and is said that only 2000 were ever made.
Besides being remarkably in tune, this saxophone has a condensed and beautiful sound.
Smaller than later horns in sound and weight. A very unique instrument indeed!!!
