Selmer Mark VI Alto Saxophone #198,XXX

Product Description
This 1972 alto is incredibly responsive! Almost certainly hailing from Boston, this later Mark VI displays some of the trademarks of repairman Emilio Lyons. The pads are on the older side, but this does not seem to be detrimental to its playing condition: the low Bb is crisp and easy, the middle register is clear and somewhat brassy, and the high register is direct and clean. This horn’s core sound is sweet and bright.

This is an American-assembled original lacquer Mark VI, and there is about 60% of the original lacquer remaining. It has the plastic right hand thumb hook for comfort and playability. The brass showing through has taken on a reddish hue, giving it a seasoned look. All things considered, this horn plays well now, but with a little TLC it could be your horn for life!
