Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone #161,XXX

Product Description

This 1968 American-assembled Mark VI tenor is a beauty! With almost 100% original lacquer remaining, you won’t see another specimen like this out there! The sound of this horn is powerful and confident, but still has the characteristic warmth that made Selmer famous. The low range is clean and strong, while the highs are vibrant and present. The altissimo and palm keys play extremely easily; they are sturdily in tune and really cut!

The adjustable plastic thumb-hook on the right hand makes this a very comfortable horn to play for extended periods. The pads are new, with plastic domed resonators. The pearls feel crisp and are not worn down at all, giving it the feeling of a brand new saxophone. If you’re looking for an original-lacquer tenor that projects, but still has strong warm character, this could be the horn for you!
