Selmer Soloist Vintage Short Shank Tenor Sax Mouthpiece - GW Reface .105

Product Description
This is an early “short shank” Soloist, the most in-demand mouthpieces made by Selmer. The earlier model came with a slightly larger chamber, although these mouthpieces still had straight side-walls like the later “horseshoe chamber” model. This piece has been refaced by Greg Wier and was opened up to the more modern opening of .105, or a 7*. This piece has a wide, warm core that comes off a little brassier when pushed in the low and high registers. It has a very moderate rollover baffle, which contributes in part to the bite that piece has. If you are looking for a short shank Soloist, but can’t find one that is a modern tip opening, this could be a great piece for you!
