If anyone knows Douglas Pipher, let him know we found a Dorsey SSS that dates earlier than his suggestion.
This is in mint condition, a proverbial closet horn. Roughly about 100 were made… limited edition is an understatement.
This has the SSS stamp, and you can see that the body also had the serial number stamped on it, but they then soldered over it for a key guard.
A beautiful edition for any collector!
